Mat Pilates is an awesome workout! Our Mat Pilates classes are great for increasing your fitness level or just adding to your existing workout schedule.
The Mat work repertoire uses your body weight as the primary source of resistance. You may use small apparatus such as the magic circle, Theraband or foam roller. These will add variety to the exercises and add an extra challenge that will leave your body wanting more.
Our experienced Pilates instructors will take you through a series of exercises that will flow seamlessly from one to the other, giving you a full-body workout. Our Mat Pilates classes, with a maximum of ten participants, are suitable for all levels and abilities.
Our other Mat Classes
Original Mat Work: This class provides you with the opportunity to get a great Pilates mat workout using the original Mat exercises created by Joseph Pilates. Good form is essential to get the most out of your Pilates, so whether you are new to mat classes, or just wanting to gain a deeper understanding of the exercises, this class is ideal for you.
Stretch and Release Mat: A slower-paced mat class, focusing on those Pilates exercises that promote mobility of the spine and lengthening of muscles while focussing on the breath to give you a relaxing and lengthening session that will leave you feeling rejuvenated.
The Refined Runner: Specially created for runners, this 45-minute class is focusing on mobility, motor control/technique and cadence/tempo. A full-body session with particular attention paid to the foot, ankle, hip, knee and trunk stability. Start running pain-free and improve your performance with Kristen!
