What is Myotherapy?

Musculoskeletal Therapy or Myotherapy is a branch of hands-on therapy that involves assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal issues, helping clients relieve pain and improve movement.

Myotherapy can be helpful in filling the gap between remedial massage and physiotherapy. As a client, you can expect your myotherapist to carry out a thorough physical evaluation and apply an integrated approach to treating affected muscles, joints, connective tissue and nerves.

Standard assessment methods such as neurological and functional tests are used to hone in on the cause of the issue, and a suite of treatment tools is used to aid in the improvement and recovery of your condition. Myotherapists take a holistic approach, working with clients to establish a treatment and rehabilitation plan that can involve follow up appointments, exercises and stretching.
